Advanced Imaging Equipment

Here at AICA Snellville, we have only the best imaging equipment. It is the most advanced, most up-to-date, and most effective equipment available today in medical imaging. We can run one test or several, depending on what your situation necessitates. We will explore all possibilities for the cause of injury or disease before we begin our imaging diagnostics so that we make the most of our time and yours, and so that we can fully explore every possibility for the root cause of your discomfort. While we have other diagnostic procedures available should we need them, our imaging equipment helps us diagnose a large number of injuries and ailments so that we can properly treat you.

This type of imaging is noninvasive and uses no radiation, but it can detect problems in all of your soft tissue, including your muscles, ligaments, tendons, cartilage, spinal discs, blood vessels, organs, and more. MRIs can help us find cancer, brain injuries, MS, bone infections, joint damage, heart disease, and more.

CT Scan

This type of imaging allows us to view the inside of the body in 3D, including your bones, organs, and other tissues. It takes multiple X-Ray images from a variety of angles to create cross-sectional images, allowing us to see more in-depth than a standard X-Ray. CT Scans can help detect hairline fractures, heart disease, blood clots, cancer, tumors, infections, and more.

Our digital X-Ray capabilities allow us to see an X-Ray image immediately after it’s been taken, allowing us to more quickly and effectively diagnose breaks and other bone concerns. X-Rays can also give doctors insight into arthritis, dislocated joints, and other causes of bone or joint pain. X-Rays are also commonly used to diagnose lung problems like pneumonia and tuberculosis.

This imaging technology is like a continuous X-Ray. It can be used to diagnose a number of ailments and injuries, but it can also be used during a medical procedure in which extreme precision and safety are absolutely vital. Fluoroscopy can help doctors diagnose pain during movement, and it can assist doctors in cardiac catheter insertion, among other things.

Diagnostics and Imaging Services

AICA Snellville uses state-of-the-art diagnostic and imaging equipment which allows your doctors to provide you with the most accurate assessment of your injuries. With the use of X-ray, MRI, and CT scans we can assess the extent and location of your injuries and establish the baseline for your personalized treatment plan.

We begin with X-rays to identify injuries sustained to bones or joints, as well as injuries that need urgent attention.

MRIs allow us to go deeper than the initial X-ray, providing a 3D view of your body’s soft tissue structures. An X-ray cannot determine if soft tissue damage has occurred, so an MRI is used for all injuries are properly diagnosed.

A hard-to-find injury, such as a hairline fracture can be diagnosed with a CT scan.

A fluoroscopy is an imaging machine that shows a continuous X-ray image of the body in real time, which allows your doctor to determine if your bones are in their proper positions. This machine can also be used while your body is in motion to determine if your joints are functioning properly.
